Catholic Social Teaching and the Saints

Each month Catholic Charities – Social Concerns highlights a saint that exemplifies a principle of Catholic Social Teaching. This monthly resource is two pages and features practical ways to live our faith in action through the Pray, Learn, and Act model.

This Catholic Social Teaching and the Saints resource can be used by individuals, families, in school classrooms, RCIA and religious education classes, or as inserts in parish bulletins or featured on parish webpages.

“Many popular devotional practices involve the veneration of the saints. The saints have a special place in the Body of Christ, which includes both the living and the dead.  Through their prayers of intercession, the saints in heaven play an integral role in the life of the Church on earth. Besides what the saints can do for us by their prayers, the very practice of venerating the saints does great good for those who are devoted to the saints.”  – USCCB

Join Catholic Charities – Social Concerns as we follow in the footsteps of saints who through their examples of love of God and neighbor teach us how we too can strive for holiness in living out the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
